President of Turkmenistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated military personnel and law enforcement officers on Defender of the Fatherland Day, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

"I heartily congratulate you on Defenders of the Fatherland Day, celebrated in the year 'Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Determined Winged Horses,'" the head of state said in his congratulatory message.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the holiday symbolizes the trust placed in the military and law enforcement personnel who defend the country's independence, permanent neutrality, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The President recalled that 2026 marks the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. He said this date is celebrated as a symbol of the centuries-old aspirations of our ancestors to establish an independent state. "We will celebrate this glorious anniversary of our sacred independence together as a nation," the head of state emphasized.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that in a short period of time, Turkmenistan's Armed Forces have transformed into a modern army equipped with the latest weapons and military equipment. He added that the country is paying special attention to improving the living and service conditions of military personnel and their families.

On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, new service and social facilities for military personnel and law enforcement officers were commissioned, the President noted.
