On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Chad to Turkmenistan, Mahamoud Adama Bechira. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

On behalf of the head of state, the speaker of the national parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to this important post, wishing him success in strengthening relations between the two countries.

The ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and, on behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Chad, conveyed best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Turkmen people.

During the meeting, the diplomat was briefed on the structure of the Mejlis and its efforts to improve national legislation, as well as on the main directions of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy. It was noted that Turkmenistan is interested in cooperating with countries around the world, including those on the African continent.

The parties exchanged views on opportunities to develop bilateral ties in areas of mutual interest.

Mahamud Adam Bechir emphasized that it is a great honor for him to represent the Republic of Chad in neutral Turkmenistan, which pursues a peace-loving policy and implements constructive international initiatives. The diplomat assured that he will make every effort to further develop relations between the two countries.
