In Turkmenistan, awards were presented and titles were conferred on Defenders of the Fatherland Day

President of Turkmenistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed decrees awarding military and security personnel, as well as conferring military and special ranks on them, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

According to the decree, a group of military personnel and employees of military and law enforcement agencies were awarded medals of Turkmenistan for their significant personal contributions to strengthening the independence and sovereignty of the state, protecting territorial integrity and constitutional order, and ensuring security and law and order.

The document recognizes the awardees' exemplary performance of their official duties and their high achievements in combat training. The awards were also presented in recognition of their many years of impeccable service and exceptional contributions to the state and society.

By another decree, signed in accordance with paragraph 15 of Article 71 of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, a group of military personnel and employees of military and law enforcement agencies were awarded military and special ranks, as well as qualification classes. The decision was made in recognition of their contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability, conscientious fulfillment of their military duty, and their achievements in strengthening law and order.

Defender of the Fatherland Day is celebrated in Turkmenistan on January 27.
