Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin presented the "Honorary Badge of Compatriot" to artist Berdigula Amansakhatov.

"Berdiguly Goshaevich is well-known not only in Turkmenistan but also in many other countries. He has close ties to Russia, graduated from the Surikov School, participated in numerous exhibitions in our country, and is an Honored Artist of Khakassia," the diplomat noted at the artist's solo exhibition, which marked his 75th birthday.

Volynkin also emphasized that in 2024, a large solo exhibition of Amansakhatov's work was held in Kazan, timed to coincide with the BRICS meeting, which was a huge success.

"Considering all these achievements in strengthening the friendship between the peoples of Russia and Turkmenistan, by decision of the government commission, Berdigula was awarded the Honorary Badge of Compatriot," the ambassador said.
