Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan brought gold, silver, and bronze from Astana

Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan won 16 medals at the XXII International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, which took place from January 10–14 in Astana, Kazakhstan.

According to Turkmenistan's Ministry of Education, Hemra Gurbanov, a 10th-grade student at Ashgabat Secondary School No. 86, was awarded a gold medal in mathematics. Silver medals were awarded to Maliksha Meylismuradov (School No. 86), Murat Ruslanov (School No. 97), and Selim Hommatdurdyev (School No. 135). Bronze medals in this subject were won by Seyitgeldi Hojamuhammedov (school No. 83), Sanjar Hojaniyazov and Syuyunmuhammet Geldimuhammedov (school No. 49), Begli Ishanmuradov and Kumush Nobatova (school No. 86), as well as Begench Gummanov from the city of Dashoguz (school No. 26).

Dovlet Annamuradov from Shatlyk, Mary velayat, received a silver medal in physics, while bronze medals went to Nurgeldi Annagurdov (School No. 79) and Aysenem Kakamyradova (School No. 10, Mary). Bronze medalists in computer science included Hojamuhammet Hydyrov and Yhlas Annamuradov (School No. 86), and Kasym Kochekov (School No. 135).

More than 600 talented schoolchildren from 16 countries took part in this prestigious intellectual competition, organized by the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn" of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
