A conference dedicated to the 2026 motto, "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Determined Winged Horses," was held in the conference hall of the Young Olympians Training School, according to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

The event was organized by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, the Magtymguly Youth Organization, the Olimp Secondary Sports School, and the Turkmenbashy Olympic Water Sports Complex.

As Ovezmuhammet Atalyev, Acting Director of the Young Olympians Training School, noted, the country has created a modern sports infrastructure to support young talent. He expressed gratitude to the head of state for awarding the athletes who won international competitions.

According to him, young athletes will continue to defend Turkmenistan's sporting honor at major international tournaments.

During the conference, participants noted that 2026 marks the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. The year's motto includes a reference to the Ahal-Teke horse, the country's national treasure.

A program of themed events, including conferences, exhibitions, and creative showcases, is planned throughout the country.
