Turkmenistan has announced an annual scientific paper competition among the country's youth. The competition is organized by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
According to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," the competition invites participants aged 35 and under—employees of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, research institutes, the Academy of Sciences' Technology Center, production associations, scientific and technical enterprises, students in university, master's, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, and vocational schools, as well as Turkmen citizens of various professions with a particular interest in scientific research. Participants must be members of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
The competition accepts submissions in six main areas:
Nanotechnology, chemical engineering, new materials research, and energy;
Biotechnology, molecular biology, agriculture, ecology, and genetics;
Information and communication systems, computer technologies;
Modern medicine and pharmaceutical production technologies;
Innovative economics;
Humanities.
The competition will be held in three stages. The results will traditionally be announced on Science Day, celebrated annually in Russia on June 12. The winners will be awarded valuable prizes.
Those wishing to participate in the competition must submit their scientific work to the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan by February 15 at the following address: Ashgabat, Garashsyzlyk Avenue, 104 (building of the Center for Public Organizations).
