Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with the European Union Ambassador to Ashgabat, Beata Peksa, according to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Particular attention was paid to preparations for upcoming high-level visits. The parties also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.

The diplomats discussed the implementation of current and potential joint projects in the fields of high technology, transport, economics, energy, environmental protection, and vocational education.
