On January 8, Stanislav Chepurnoy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan, discussed further cooperation on a number of issues with representatives of the country's government. This was reported on the Embassy's website.

In particular, during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Agriculture Tangryguly Atahalliyev, the participation of the Turkmen delegation in the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week and the XXXVI International Specialized Exhibition "BELAGRO-2026" was discussed.

The parties confirmed their mutual interest in enhancing contacts between specialized agricultural research organizations in the fields of veterinary science, seed production, and livestock farming.

During a meeting with Bahar Seidova, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for Culture, Tourism, and Media, the parties discussed holding exchange Days of Culture, exhibitions, and other events, as well as resuming direct flights between Minsk and Ashgabat as a factor contributing to the development of the tourism sector.
