Today, during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and UN Resident Coordinator in the country Dmitry Shlapachenko discussed a wide range of issues related to strategic partnership.
According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed in detail the process of summing up the results of the Framework Program for Cooperation in Sustainable Development between Turkmenistan and the UN for the period 2021-2025 and considered issues related to the implementation of the new Framework Program for 2026-2030.
The Turkmen side expressed interest in expanding the presence of offices of specialized agencies, structural divisions, and UN programs in Turkmenistan.
The parties also reviewed the progress of UN programmatic activities in Turkmenistan, noting that dozens of projects and programs are currently ongoing.
Furthermore, the diplomats discussed the preparation and upcoming holding of significant joint events, including a conference with the FAO and courses for young diplomats, the source noted.
