The Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted a resolution scheduling elections for members of the Halk Maslahaty in the newly formed etraps of the velayats on March 29, as well as to replace the early resignation of the Mejlis deputies and members of the velayat, etrap, and city Halk Maslahaty and gengeshes.

Elections of members of the Halk Maslahaty will be held in the Altyn Asyr etrap of the Ahal velayat, Garashsyzlyk and Gubadag etraps of the Dashoguz velayat, Dovletli, Farab and Garabekauly etraps of the Lebap velayat, and Oguzhan etrap of the Mary velayat.

And also, in electoral districts No. 74 “Amyderýa”, No. 79 “Darganata” of the Lebap velayat, No. 104 and No. 106 of the Mary velayat in connection with the early departure of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

The resolution was adopted in accordance with Articles 4, 85 and 87 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan and signed by the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova on January 7.
