President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving the Plan for zoning agricultural crops by velayat in 2026.

The document was signed "with the aim of successfully continuing reforms in the agricultural sector, sequencing agricultural crops according to their types in accordance with the soil and climatic conditions of the velayats and etraps, as well as significantly increasing the volume of agricultural production through scientifically based crop rotation and increasing crop yields."

According to the decree, the Ministry of Agriculture, relevant agencies, and regional administrations are required to ensure the production of abundant agricultural crops through the establishment of scientifically based crop rotation in accordance with agricultural standards and the widespread introduction of advanced production methods.
