New wells are being developed at gas fields in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan's fuel and energy sector is currently achieving significant results. Particular emphasis is placed on a scientific approach to developing the industry.

For example, during the first stage of development of the Galkynysh field in the Mary velayat, production well No. 110 was drilled to a depth of 4180 meters. Testing in the openhole interval of 4149–4015 meters resulted in a commercial flow of natural gas with a daily flow rate of over 2 million cubic meters.

As reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," a new influx of natural gas was also obtained at the Toparjulba field, part of the Central Karakum gas field complex. Production well No. 264 was drilled at a depth of 1200 meters. During the development of the Lower Cretaceous section in the 1085-1082 meter interval, a commercial natural gas flow of approximately 300,000 cubic meters per day was obtained.

The exploration and development of new fields is producing additional volumes of oil and natural gas. This is an undeniable result of the consistent strengthening of the material and technical infrastructure of the fuel and energy sector, as well as the introduction of modern scientific advances and innovative technologies into production, the source notes.
