On January 2, a ceremony dedicated to the significance of the 2026 national motto, "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses," was held in the Arkadag city administration, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

The event was attended by city leaders and representatives of the equestrian industry, as well as teachers from the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding, industry experts, honorary elders of Turkmenistan, creative figures, representatives of public organizations, the media, and students.

Speakers at the conference emphasized that Ahal-Teke horses occupy a vital place in the lives of the Turkmen people. These magnificent creatures, captivating the world with their extraordinary beauty, are the treasure and wings of the nation's soul. The inclusion of the "Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding Art and Horse Decoration Traditions" on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity has enhanced the Ahal-Teke's fame on the global stage.

Thanks to the active support of Turkmenistan's leadership, the Ahal-Teke horse's reputation is steadily growing. It's no coincidence that the magnificent Ahal-Teke horse's image is featured at the center of the State Emblem of Turkmenistan.

Driven by the nation's love for magnificent horses, improving the national art of horse breeding and promoting these magnificent steeds internationally has become a state policy. A case in point is the achievements of the Galkynyş National Equestrian Games Group, which has repeatedly won prestigious competitions and shows. For example, at the 47th International Circus Arts Festival in Monte-Carlo (Principality of Monaco), the Group won the Grand Prix and received several other awards. A grand ceremony was held in the town of Arkadag to mark the occasion.

Speakers also emphasized the importance of holding this year's first conference in honor of the 2026 motto in the city of Arkadag, the birthplace of the Ahal-Teke horse, where the Aba Annaev International Horse Breeding Academy was built.

The subsequent performances by artists reflected the country's achievements.

An exhibition was held in the spacious foyer of the city administration, featuring works of fine and decorative art, carpets, jewelry, and photographs reflecting the achievements of the city of Arkadag and the beauty of the Ahal-Teke horses.
