The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed the dates and start times for the AFC Champions League Round of 16 ties. Following the draw in Kuala Lumpur, Turkmenistan's “Arkadag” will face Saudi Arabian club “Al-Nassr”, whose squad includes five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

The first match will take place on Wednesday, February 11, at the “Arkadag” stadium, which has a capacity of 10,000 spectators. Kickoff will be at 18:45 Ashgabat time.

The return leg of the Round of 16 will take place on Wednesday, February 18, in Riyadh. Kickoff is at 21:15.

As a reminder, “Al-Nassr” topped group “D” in the AFC Champions League II group stage with a flawless record: six wins in six matches with an excellent goal difference of 22:2. “Arkadag”, with one win, four draws, and one loss, finished second in group “B”, scoring five goals and conceding six in six matches.

According to Transfermarkt, the market value of “Al-Nassr's” squad is estimated at 138,13 million euros, while “Arkadag's” players are worth 2,83 million euros. Therefore, the Saudi club's squad is almost 49 times more valuable than the Turkmen team's.

Since 2023, “Al-Nassr” has been home to one of the greatest footballers of his generation: 41-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, a five-time UEFA Champions League winner, 2016 European Champion, and winner of five Ballons d'Or. In 2024, he became the first player in history to score more than 900 goals in official matches.

Besides Ronaldo, “Al Nasr” also boasts other world football stars, including Portugal's João Félix, Senegal's Sadio Mané, France's Kingsley Coman, and Croatia's Marcelo Brozović. The Saudi Arabian club is coached by 71-year-old Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus.

“Arkadag” has already earned 430,000 USD in the current AFC Champions League: 300,000 USD for participating in the group stage, 80,000 USD for reaching the round of 16, and 50,000 USD for their only group win. “Al-Nasr”, with six group stage wins, earned 680,000 USD.

The winner of the quarterfinals will receive 160,000 USD, while the semifinalists will receive 240,000 USD. The tournament finalist will earn 1 million USD, while the champion will earn 2,5 million USD.

The winner of the two-legged match between “Arkadag” and “Al-Nasr” will play the winner of the match between “Al-Zawraa” (Iraq) and “Al-Wasl” (UAE) in the quarterfinals.
