Passengers on a “Ural Airlines” plane that made an emergency landing in Ashgabat due to a technical malfunction were flown to Yekaterinburg on a replacement aircraft, the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan reported.
A plane en route from Dubai to Yekaterinburg made an emergency landing at Ashgabat International Airport on the evening of December 22. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of airport staff and other agencies, all passengers and crew members were provided with timely assistance. The passengers were accommodated in a hotel in the capital and provided with water and hot meals, the statement said.
At 6:40 a.m. Ashgabat time, all citizens departed for Yekaterinburg on a spare plane arriving from Russia. The embassy thanked the Turkmen side for its support.
