From December 19 to 23, Moscow's “Illusion” cinema will host free screenings of films competing in the first Open Eurasian Film Award, "Diamond Butterfly." The event is organized by the Russian Culture Foundation with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture and ROSKINO, reports kino.mail.ru.
The screening program includes the joint Turkmen-Uzbek film " Magtymguly Firagi" (2024), nominated for the Diamond Butterfly Film Award. Directed by Muzaffarhan Erkinov, the film explores the life and work of the outstanding XVIII-century Turkmen poet and thinker, Magtymguly Firagi. The screening will take place on December 21 at 17:00.
The film's running time is 106 minutes and the age rating is 18+. The film will be shown in its original language with Russian subtitles.
In addition to " Magtymguly Fragi," audiences will be able to see four other films from the awards competition: the Russian film "Two in One Life, Not Counting the Dog" (December 19), the Belarusian film "Black Castle" (December 20), the Chinese film "Against the Current" (December 22), and the Kyrgyz-Russian film "Dance with Mom!" (December 23).
Admission to all screenings is free with advance registration.
