Telegram messenger has added the ability to log in using Passkeys to the stable versions of its iOS and Android apps. This was announced by the "Durov Code" Telegram channel.
Previously, in early December 2025, this option was spotted in the beta version of Telegram for Android.
To enable passkey authentication, users need to open the app's settings, go to "Privacy," and select "Passkey." Once set up, account login can be confirmed with a fingerprint, face scan, or device unlock code. Passkeys are saved in password managers.
