On December 5, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The EU High Representative congratulated the Turkmen side on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, noting the importance of the country's neutral foreign policy, which contributes to global peace and development.
During the conversation, the parties praised the development of the multifaceted dialogue between Turkmenistan and the European Union. A wide range of bilateral issues was discussed. The importance of existing interaction mechanisms within the EU-Turkmenistan format was noted.
Special attention was paid to the International Forum for Peace and Trust, which will be held on December 12 of this year in Ashgabat.
