On November 30, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi signed a decree introducing an additional 20 USD fee for entry visas, TASS reports.
Effective December 1, 2025, the total cost of a single-entry tourist visa, obtained upon arrival or through diplomatic missions, will be 45 USD, while a multiple-entry visa will cost 80 USD (previously 60 USD).
The new 20 USD fee applies to all applicants, regardless of where the visa is issued—at airports, other entry points, or through Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad.
An exception remains for tourists arriving directly at Sharm el-Sheikh Airport: they will still receive a free "Sinai stamp," allowing them to stay in the Sinai Peninsula for up to 15 days. Traveling outside the region (for example, to Cairo or Luxor) requires a full visa fee of 45 USD.
