To mark the opening of Foreign Drama Week, which will take place in theaters across Turkmenistan from December 6 to 12, the Mollanepes Student Theater has prepared the premiere of the play "Güneş," based on the famous poem "The Raven" by American writer Edgar Allan Poe.
As reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," students from the Turkmen State Institute of Culture participated in the play directed by Merdan Handurdyev.

The plot centers on a student grief-stricken by the death of his beloved Lenore. One night, a talking raven flies into his house. In despair, he asks the bird questions, but receives only one devastating answer: "Never." At the end of the play, the protagonist realizes that his soul will forever remain in the shadow of despair, and will never emerge from this world.
The production was carried out as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality status.
