Turkmenistan participated in the Fifteenth Annual Meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Central Asian States, convened by the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) in Almaty on November 27–28.
According to newscentralasia.net, the participants discussed a wide range of issues, including climate change and transboundary water management, preventing violent extremism and countering terrorism, as well as the implications of the developing situation in Afghanistan for the region.

The new UNRCCA Action Programme for 2026-2030 and the new UNRCCA Water Strategy were presented.
Furthermore, participants discussed how the UNRCCA Regional Centre can further strengthen its support for preventive diplomacy, including by expanding the role of women and youth in decision-making processes.
Within the framework of the event, UNRCCA held the seventh regional dialogue between senior officials and youth from Central Asian states. Participants of the UNRCCA Preventive Diplomacy Academy shared their vision for regional cooperation, highlighting priorities important to the younger generation, the source noted.
