Turkmenistan is currently prioritizing cooperation with foreign companies as part of the overhaul of freight and passenger locomotives. Deputy Prime Minister M. Chakyev reported this at a government meeting on November 28, speaking about ongoing efforts to strengthen the railway sector's infrastructure.
As the Deputy Prime Minister noted, cooperation with foreign companies is intended to facilitate increased freight and passenger traffic volumes, as well as enhance the industry's transport and transit potential.
In this regard, a corresponding proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved a proposal to increase the industry's transport and transit potential and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary work, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
