On November 27, the Center for Public Organizations of Turkmenistan announced the results of the traditional "Economist of the Year" research article competition.
The competition was organized by the editorial board of the journal "Finance and Economics" (Maliýe we ykdysadyýet), the National Center of Trade Unions, and the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.
As reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," the competition, announced at the beginning of the year, was open to employees of the country's financial and economic sector, as well as professors and students from specialized higher education institutions, who could participate by publishing articles in the journal "Finance and Economics" in 2025.
Articles were evaluated based on criteria such as the originality of the material, the presence of specific proposals, and their economic benefits.
According to the results of the competition, Selimberdi Hojaberdyev, Deputy Head of the Main Financial and Economic Department of the city of Ashgabat, took first place, Amangul Bayrammyradova, a teacher in the Department of World Economy at the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, took second place, and Nazik Sadykova, a teacher in the Department of Accounting at the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, took third place.
The winners, as well as all participants of the competition, were awarded prizes in a ceremonial ceremony.
