From December 6 to 12, 2025, Turkmenistan will host a cultural week featuring performances based on the works of Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli. This was reported by Report, citing the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ashgabat.
The event's program will include two performances. The Saparmurat Turkmenbashy the Great Main Drama Theater in Ashgabat will present a production of the operetta "Husband and Wife," written by Hajibeyli in 1910. The performance will be accompanied by simultaneous translation into English and Russian.
The A.S. Pushkin Russian Drama Theatre will present the play "Arshin Mal Alan," based on the composer's 1913 operetta of the same name.
