During a working visit to the city of Arkadag, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, toured the park of the same name and inspected the installation of sculptures, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
In the park, the Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan, D. Orazov, and the city's mayor, G. Mammedova, reported on the progress of the installation of Ahal-Teke horse sculptures and a composition of a trade caravan.
According to the project concept, the sculptures will symbolize national values and the historical heritage of the Turkmen people. Particular attention is being paid to creating a unified harmony between the sculptures and other park features and fountains.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the works on display, made a number of adjustments, and emphasized that the sculptures should reflect the nation's love for national values. He also emphasized the need to place informational plaques near each sculpture of the legendary horses, describing their achievements.
The National Leader noted that Ahal-Teke horses, Alabai and Arvana camels are the national pride of Turkmenistan and exemplary values of global significance.
During his visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also held a board meeting of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care and reviewed the progress of the second phase of construction of the new city.
