Representatives of Turkmenistan's logistics sector will visit the Astrakhan Region to participate in the 3rd Astrakhan International Forum "North-South International Transport Corridor: New Horizons," which will be held November 26-28. This was announced by the Astrakhan Region Ministry of Foreign Relations following a meeting between the region's Minister of Foreign Relations, Vladimir Golovkov, and Turkmenistan's Consul in Astrakhan, Gadam Ilamanov.
During the working meeting, the parties discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation between the Astrakhan Region and Turkmenistan. Particular attention was paid to expanding trade flows and logistical cooperation.
"This year, deliveries of frozen and dried fish from Astrakhan to Turkmenistan have resumed," noted Vladimir Golovkov. He added that wheat flour is also being exported to the Turkmen market. Over 3,000 tons of flour were shipped to Turkmenistan in the first three quarters of 2025.
The parties discussed various areas of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere. The discussion focused on collaboration between educational institutions in the Astrakhan region and Turkmenistan, as well as the development of youth policy.
