Turkmenistan forecasts oil production of over 8 million tons in 2025, said Guvanch Agajanov, Chairman of the “Turkmennebit” State Concern, at a press conference following the OGT 2025 International Conference and Exhibition in Ashgabat.
"This year, we expect oil production in Turkmenistan to exceed 8 million tons. We will be able to announce specific figures early next year," Agajanov said.
According to him, the oil industry development program plans to increase production by 5-10% annually.
It should be noted that in 2024, oil production in Turkmenistan amounted to approximately 8,3 million tons.
The International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2025" (OGT 2025) was held in Ashgabat from October 22-24. Over 1400 delegates and enterprises from 70 countries, local energy companies, relevant ministries and industry agencies of Turkmenistan, and international organizations participated in the events. The forum was organized by the Turkmen Energy Forum, the state concerns “Turkmengaz” and “Turkmennebit”, and the state corporation “Turkmengeologiya”.
