The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will act as the Premier Partner of the 30th International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2025" (OGT 2025), which will be held in Ashgabat from October 22–24, 2025. SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf will participate in the plenary session, which will highlight the strategic importance of the partnership between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in the energy sector.
As one of the region's largest energy companies, SOCAR actively develops cooperation in hydrocarbon exploration, production, transportation, and processing, and also prioritizes the development of renewable energy. The company operates in more than 15 countries, promoting energy security and sustainable development.
SOCAR's approved strategy through 2035 places particular emphasis on digitalization, innovation, and the transition to green energy. Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on the joint development of the Dostluk field, SOCAR views its participation in OGT 2025 as a step toward further strengthening energy ties between the two countries.
Organized by the Turkmengas, Turkmennebit, and Turkmengeologiya State Concerns in partnership with the Turkmen Energy Forum, the OGT 2025 conference will bring together representatives of leading national and international companies to discuss ways to achieve methane emissions reduction goals and transition to a sustainable energy future.
