The Turkmen delegation, led by M. Charyev, Permanent Delegate to UNESCO and Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France, is participating in the 10th session of the Conference on Anti-Doping in Sport. The anniversary meeting is being held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from October20–22, 2025.
The delegation also includes Sh. Seryaev, Head of the International Department of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, and L. Artykova, Chairperson of the National Anti-Doping Agency of Turkmenistan. The session's agenda includes reporting on the implementation of the Convention, the activities of the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport, reforming international cooperation mechanisms, and strengthening the capacity of states in the area of anti-doping education and prevention.
The anniversary session, marking the 20th anniversary of the Convention, brought together representatives of State Parties, international organizations, and relevant experts to discuss issues of ensuring integrity and transparency in sport. During the sessions, the Turkmen delegation reaffirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to the goals and principles of the Convention and expressed support for UNESCO's efforts to protect the integrity of sport and improve global anti-doping mechanisms.
