From October 23 to 25, Turkmenistan will host events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
On this occasion, the UN in Turkmenistan invites partners, the public, and media representatives to take part in events dedicated to the anniversary.
Thus, on October 23 at 2:00 PM, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will host a Conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN. During this Conference, the Government of Turkmenistan and the UN will sign a new Cooperation Framework defining joint priorities for sustainable development in the country for 2026–2030.
On October 24 at 6:00 PM, a historical photo exhibition, "80 Years of the United Nations," will open in the foyer of the Mukam Palace. It will showcase key moments in the history of the UN and the Organization's long-standing partnership with Turkmenistan. A symphony concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the UN, "Music of Peace and Hope," will also take place at 7:00 PM.
On October 25 at 11:00 a.m., the UN-80 Marathons will start in all regions of the country: in the cities of the Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary velayats.
