On November 1, Turkmenistan will celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the introduction of the national manat with a scientific and practical conference.
As Deputy Prime Minister H. Geldimyradov reported at a government meeting on Friday, 250 representatives from ministries, departments, and credit institutions, as well as higher and specialized secondary educational institutions within the financial, economic, and banking sectors, are expected to participate in this forum.
The conference will feature reports on initiatives being implemented under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan aimed at the country's socio-economic development, reforms being implemented in the banking sector, and economic achievements in the area of coordinated management of the national manat.
At the same time, it is planned to discuss issues related to monetary policy, modern banking services provided through the introduction of digital technologies, as well as the improvement of the electronic payment system and cooperation with international financial institutions.
In this context, a corresponding proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed a number of instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister regarding the preparation and proper organization of a scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the introduction of the national currency, the manat, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
