On October 14, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (with residence in Ankara) Mekan Ishangulyev presented his credentials to the President of the country, Taiye Atske Selassie.
The presentation ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Addis Ababa, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Ambassador M. Ishangulyev conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of Ethiopia on behalf of his country's leadership.

The parties expressed mutual interest in the further development of political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties between the two friendly countries.
President Taye Atske Selassie also conveyed words of gratitude and warm greetings to the leadership of Turkmenistan.
As a reminder, on October 14, Mekan Ishangulyev also met with Mohamed El-Amin Suef, Vice-Chairman of the African Union Commission, in Addis Ababa.
