The city of Arkadag was awarded the V.I. Blinnikov gold medal from the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO).
Participants of the 47th meeting of the EAPO Administrative Council, held in the Turkmen capital, arrived in the smart city for the medal presentation ceremony, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Ceremony guests were introduced to the unique features of the city of Arkadag, created at the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The most advanced technologies and developments were used in its construction.
Upon arrival at the Arkadag city administration, participants viewed an exhibition in the foyer, which provided a visual representation of modern architectural solutions and digital technologies integrated into the city's life support system.
Speaking at the ceremony, Eurasian Patent Organization President G. Ivliev noted that Arkadag, built in Turkmenistan based on the "smart city" concept and currently undergoing the second phase of intensive implementation of this large-scale project, is a model city. This is evidenced by the numerous prestigious awards, certificates, and patents it has received.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the V.I. Blinnikov Gold Medal of the Eurasian Patent Organization by the President of the Eurasian Patent Organization, G. Ivliev. The award was accepted by D. Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan.
This award, established in honor of the founder and first President of the Eurasian Patent Organization, Viktor Ivanovich Blinnikov, is presented "For contribution to invention and patent work."
During the ceremony, specially prepared videos were also shown, introducing those gathered to the innovative technologies and capabilities of the digital system implemented in the city of Arkadag.
