The International University for Humanities and Development held a series of events as part of Italian Language Week under the international motto "Italophonie: Language Without Borders."
This annual initiative, aimed at promoting the Italian language and culture, reflects the growing educational cooperation between Turkmenistan and Italy, according to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
The event is organized by the university jointly with the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Turkmenistan and brings together diplomats, renowned Italian professors, teachers, and students.
The week began with Italian professors Maria Giovanna Farchi and Francesco Giommoni giving lectures on current topics to the university's students and faculty. The program included an exhibition dedicated to Italian culture, books, and informational materials prepared by student groups.
Topics discussed during the Week include international cooperation, academic exchanges, expert-led seminars, and specialized courses in Italian language and culture for young students.
Italian Language Week at the International University for Humanities and Development is not only a language event but also an opportunity for Turkmen youth to learn and gain a deeper understanding of Italian history, literature, art, cinema, and other treasures.
