Russia and Turkmenistan see significant opportunities to increase trade turnover, including through the involvement of Russian marketplaces. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin at a meeting of the Turkmen-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
"We see significant potential for increasing trade turnover. Many products produced in Turkmenistan are in demand in Russia today. At the same time, we see potential for increasing exports from Russia and the potential for attracting Russian marketplaces. We believe this will give us a major boost to development," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Khusnullin noted the great prospects in the construction sector. "The quality of construction and the volume of work being done in Arkadag and Ashgabat command sincere respect. I believe Turkmenistan has made significant progress in this area," he emphasized.
The Deputy Prime Minister proposed developing cooperation in the supply of construction materials, attracting construction resources, and integrating educational processes. "I think this will be beneficial for our countries," Khusnullin added.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, the parties also see great potential in the energy sector. "We have invited Rosatom to participate in our delegations," he said.
