Turkmenistan plans to organize a business forum and export exhibition in Kazan in January-February 2026. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev at a meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission on economic cooperation.
"The Russian market is a priority for us, and we are interested in both importing and exporting our products there. There are many examples of successful collaboration between private companies and Russian partners, but the opportunities for such cooperation are far greater," noted Atagulyev.
He emphasized his willingness to support the business communities of both countries through joint events, including business forums, meetings, and delegation exchanges. "We agreed to hold a business forum and an export goods exhibition in Kazan. We plan to do this in January-February of next year. This will give us a new impetus for the development of trade," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
He also added that the countries are actively developing cooperation in agriculture. "The agreements on cooperation in plant quarantine signed in 2023 will allow us to increase the supply of Turkmen fruits and vegetables to Russian markets, as well as the export of high-quality agricultural seeds from Russia to Turkmenistan," Atagulyev added.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, an important area of bilateral cooperation is collaboration in the field of healthcare, including the training and advanced training of medical specialists and the exchange of experience in the use of drugs and vaccines. "Cooperation is developing between Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan through a research institute. Furthermore, significant prospects exist in the areas of physical education and sports, tourism, and other areas.
