The customs authorities of Turkmenistan and Russia signed an agreement in Ashgabat on Monday to establish a simplified procedure for customs operations when moving goods and vehicles between the countries.
The document was signed by Maksat Hudaykuliev, Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, and Sergey Shklyaev, Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, following the meeting of the intergovernmental commission.

Furthermore, following the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and Russia signed a number of other bilateral documents in various areas. In particular, a cooperation action plan for 2025-2026 was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan and the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre, and Cartography (Rosreestr). A cooperation agreement was also signed between the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan and the Saint Petersburg Exchange, among other agreements.
On Monday, the 13th meeting of the Turkmen-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation took place in Ashgabat. The commission is chaired on the Turkmen side by Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev. The Russian co-chair is Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
