Turkmenistan and Russia agreed to develop cooperation in horse breeding and equestrian sports.
Pygy Bayramdurdyev, Rector of the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding, and Ivan Volynkin, Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan, signed a memorandum of cooperation between the academy and the Kalashnikov All-Russian Research Institute of Horse Breeding.
In addition, Ahmet Berdyev, Director General of the State Association of Turkmen Atlary, and the Russian Ambassador signed two memoranda: on cooperation in the equestrian industry between Turkmen Atlary and the Russian Equestrian Federation, and on interaction in the equestrian industry between the state association and the All-Russian Institute of Horse Breeding.

The documents were signed following the 13th meeting of the Turkmen-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which took place in Ashgabat on Monday. In addition to the memorandums on horse breeding, the parties signed a number of other bilateral documents in various fields.
The commission is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev on the Turkmen side and Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin on the Russian side.
