The organizing committee of the IX Moscow International Arts Festival "Sounds of the Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov notes that this year there has been a noticeable increase in the number of applications for participation from Turkmenistan.
"This season, we've received applications from contestants from various countries, including Uzbekistan, China, and Russia, and we've seen an increase in applications from Turkmenistan," the festival's press release stated.
The organizing committee also announced the program of final events for the IX Moscow International Arts Festival "Sounds of the Dutar" named after Nury Khalmamedov, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of Peace and Trust.
On October 27, from 12:00 to 15:00, the Music Department of the Russian State Library will host the International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Face of War in the Mirror of Art."
On October 29–30, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., competitive auditions for musicians of various specialties will be held for the best performance of academic music based on ethnocultural traditions, as well as a recitation competition, "The Universe of Words." The gala concert and awards ceremony will take place on November 3 at 6:00 PM. The event will include both a concert program and an official awards ceremony for the best participants.
From November 6–14, the art exhibition "Palette of the World" will be on display at the Center for Oriental Literature (COL) of the Russian State Library (6–8 Mokhovaya St.).
Admission to all events is free.
