Turkmenistan Culture Days are planned for this year in the Azerbaijani cities of Baku and Ganja. This was announced by the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The meeting took place within the framework of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan and his participation in the 12th Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States.
As the National Leader of the Turkmen People noted, the Turkmen side is ready to host this event at a high level. Cultural and humanitarian cooperation, founded on the shared history, traditions, language, and spiritual values of the two peoples, holds a special place in interstate relations.
Representatives of the cultural and artistic spheres of both countries regularly participate in international events organized in Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan. The practice of holding Culture Days, joint concerts, conferences, exhibitions, and festivals continues.
During the meeting, the parties also confirmed their readiness to begin the practical implementation of the agreements reached to establish cooperation in the fields of carpet weaving and the art of breeding Ahal-Teke and Karabakh horses.
President Aliyev expressed gratitude for the accepted invitation to visit Azerbaijan and participate in the summit of the Joint Territorial Community.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed cordial greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to the head of the Azerbaijani state.
