Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on his birthday by telephone and invited him to participate in the International Forum on Peace and Trust, which will be held in Ashgabat on December 12, the “Watan” news program reported.
Vladimir Putin thanked the delegation for the invitation and emphasized the crucial role of Turkmenistan's neutrality policy in strengthening regional peace and prosperity.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Russia is a strategic partner of Turkmenistan, and relations between the countries are based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and good neighborliness.
Taking this opportunity, the President of Russia conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
