On the International Day of Older Persons, a festive meeting was held at the Center for Public Organizations of Turkmenistan. The Mejlis and Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, together with political parties and public associations, organized the event.
The meeting was held under the mottos "The Elderly – a School of Society's Wisdom" and "You Are a Landmark for the Age, an Example for Generations!"
The event included musical performances and a ceremony honoring the senior generation.
Ashgabat resident, retiree, and poet Bahargul Kerimova noted in her speech that special attention is paid to the elderly in Turkmenistan, with many important national decisions discussed with their participation, and their advice and guidance play a significant role in raising young people, according to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
