The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Türkiye organized an international conference, "Turkmenistan's Independence: Prospects for Developing Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey in the Energy, Trade, and Economic Spheres." The event, timed to coincide with the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, was held in the Presidential Library of the Turkish Presidential Palace Complex.
The conference was attended by representatives of various Turkish ministries and agencies, heads of diplomatic missions, and heads of international and socio-political organizations. Participants also included experts from think tanks, representatives of Türkiye’s academic and creative communities, members of the Turkmen diaspora, students, and journalists.
Participants were briefed on Turkmenistan's achievements in various fields since independence. Particular attention was paid to international events taking place in the country. In particular, information was provided on the International Forum planned for December 2025 in Ashgabat, which will be dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.

The speakers noted Turkmenistan's progressive development and the large-scale reforms being implemented across all economic sectors. They emphasized the country's commitment to international cooperation, openness to the world, and readiness for partnership in various fields.
Conference participants also noted the historical ties between the Turkmen and Turkish peoples, which have been further developed in the current relations between the two countries.
The event included a photo exhibition and video screening highlighting Turkmenistan's achievements since independence. The conference concluded with a tasting of national Turkmen cuisine.
