Today, 78 companies with Turkmen capital are successfully operating in Azerbaijan in the industry, transport, construction, trade, and services sectors. This was announced by Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy, Sahib Nureddin Alekperov, speaking at the TIF 2025 Investment Forum in the “Avaza” National Tourism Zone.
According to the Deputy Minister, positive dynamics have been observed in recent years in mutual trade in agricultural and processed products between the two countries.
"However, it must be acknowledged that our success in this area is still quite modest, and we must take measures to more fully utilize the vast potential here," Alekperov emphasized.
The Deputy Minister also noted that the recent decision to establish an Azerbaijani trade mission in Uzbekistan, whose activities will also extend to other Central Asian countries, opens up new opportunities for regional cooperation.
"We expect this additional mechanism to boost exports of Azerbaijani products to Turkmenistan, strengthen investment cooperation, establish direct contacts between business circles, and enable the implementation of joint projects in Central Asia," he concluded.
The TIF 2025 Investment Forum is taking place in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone on the Caspian Sea.
