Cultural and artistic figures of the Lebap velayat are enthusiastically preparing to take part in the celebrations for the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
In particular, the folklore and dance group “Amul” will take part in the big festive concert in Ashgabat from the velayat with the numbers “Noy-noy” and “Chapak”, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Famous singers, musicians, and folk dance groups from all the etraps and cities of the Lebap velayat will take part in the main ceremony in Turkmenabat, which will take place in front of the White Yurt of the Turkmen building. The performances of the winners of the state round of the Pearls of Independence competition and creative groups of children's art schools will also be broadcast here. The Center for Culture and Art Masters will organize large-scale exhibitions at the venue of the festive celebration, reflecting the national heritage, as well as the rapid development of Turkmenistan over the years of independence.
Preparations for the holiday are also underway at the Special School of Arts of the velayat, whose representatives plan to perform a concert on the national TV channel "Turkmen Owazy". Teachers and students of the school's painting department will take part in festive exhibitions, presenting paintings reflecting the country's achievements in the era of independence.
The Turkmenabat Children's Art School plans to organize an exhibition of works by talented artists for the holiday.
The regional history museum and library will host festive exhibitions and conferences.
In honor of the significant date, the State Musical and Drama Theater of the Lebap Velayat named after Seyitnazar Seydi is also preparing a worthy gift. The theater's creative team is working on staging a new historical performance based on the play "Shirak" by the people's writer of Turkmenistan, playwright Govshutgeldy Danatarov, the source notes.
