Preparations have begun in Turkmenistan for the International Conference on Development of Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Industries of Turkmenistan (CIET 2025). The event will be held in Ashgabat from November 3 to 5, 2025. The previous forum brought together more than 400 delegates and 50 speakers from various countries.
The CIET 2024 conference held in November last year demonstrated the high interest of international investors in the Turkmen economy. Major investment projects were announced at the event, including a contract with South Korean company Daewoo E&C to build a mineral fertilizer plant in Turkmenabat worth 784 million US dollars. The enterprise plans to produce 350 thousand tons of superphosphate and 100 thousand tons of granulated ammonium sulfate annually.
The forum also discussed ongoing large-scale projects such as the 1574 MW gas turbine power plant being implemented by Türkiye’s Çalık Holding with 586 million USD in funding and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line project.
Particular attention at the upcoming conference will be paid to the development of the "smart city" Arkadag, where the second phase of construction is planned with an emphasis on medical, educational and service facilities. The forum's program also includes a discussion of projects to modernize Ashgabat's transport and utility infrastructure.
The organizers of CIET 2025 plan to present new projects in the fields of construction, energy and industry. The event is expected to see the signing of new contracts and agreements between international investors and Turkmen enterprises.
The conference program includes discussions of advanced construction technologies, modular solutions, integration of renewable energy sources and development of digital infrastructure. Forum participants will be able to take part in round tables, visit the exhibition exposition and hold negotiations in the format of business meetings.
