On September 1, a conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth was held at the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan.
As reported on the Consulate's website, Turkmen students studying in Astrakhan, teachers and students of the Magtymguly Fragi School in the village of Funtovo in the Astrakhan Region took part in the conference.
Consul of Turkmenistan G. Ilamanov warmly congratulated the youth on the beginning of the new academic year and spoke about the importance of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
The conference was also attended by the head of the Astrakhan regional public organization for the preservation and development of Turkmen culture F. Kadyrova, teacher of the Magtymguly Fragi school R. Shajiyev and 2nd year student of the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev G. Nepesova.
The school students read poems by the great poet Magtymguly Fragi in the Turkmen language.
For active participation in various events organized by the Consulate of Turkmenistan, students, pupils and teachers of the Magtymguly Fragi school in the village of Funtovo in the Astrakhan region were presented with letters of gratitude and memorable gifts on behalf of the Consulate.
