Turkmenistan's gross domestic product grew by 6,3% in the first 8 months of 2025, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov said.
"Stable development of all sectors of the economy and regions is ensured, the standard of living of the population is increasing. As a result of the comprehensive measures taken over the specified period, the GDP is 6,3 percent, including in industry the growth rate was 1,5 percent, in construction - 7 percent, in the transport and communications sector - 11 percent, in trade – 9,8 percent, in agriculture – 4,9 percent, in the service sector – 8,4 percent," the Deputy Prime Minister said at a government meeting, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan quotes Geldimyradov as saying.
According to him, in comparison with the same period in 2024, the overall volume of manufactured products increased by 9,9 percent, production indicators by industry are positive. During the period under review, retail turnover increased by 13,1 percent compared to the same period last year, and foreign trade turnover by 5,5 percent.
The revenue side of the State Budget for January-August was executed at 100 percent, and the expenditure side at 97,4 percent. The amount of wages in large and medium-sized enterprises of the country increased by 11,9 percent compared to the same period in 2024. Wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships were financed on time.
Compared with the same period last year, the volume of capital investments utilized from all sources of financing increased by 10,8 percent.
