On August 27, the Report of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) on his activities and the human rights situation in the country for 2024 was published in Turkmenistan.
The report consists of 9 chapters and includes the following sections:
- The situation regarding the provision and observance of human and civil rights and freedoms in Turkmenistan;
- Civil and political rights;
- Economic, social and cultural rights;
- Analysis of citizens' appeals;
- Activities of the Ombudsman to assist in improving national legislation;
- Participation of the Ombudsman in public events. Assistance in raising awareness in the field of human rights;
- International cooperation;
- Requests and recommendations of the Ombudsman.
